BMW 220d convertible. Yes, there were several diesel convertibles available. Mercedes did an SLK diesel.

As I live in the UK I am well aware that these and 420d convertibles (I have a friend who has one) are a thing.

I just assume any car available in Europe will have at least one diesel option in there somewhere.

About half the (21st century) convertibles I HEAR here in Munich sound agricultural. Especially those of German brands.

I saw one of these in Berlin last week too. It’s driver was rocking the 80’s alternative with the top down. I found the engine choice... well, probably not what I would have chosen.

Until dieselgate, you could get Beetle Cabrio TDI’s for years. There are a bunch for sale on Autotrader.com.
